In 2012, I stumbled across a forum about a new form of currency that was about to change the world. I was immediately convinced of the disruptive potential that bitcoin held, but was also overwhelmed at how technically complex navigating the landscape was and how that would be a primary barrier widespread adoption.
Around this time, I began doing more research on the technology and testing the various wallets, miners, and blockchains that were evolving by the minute. I still remember when the first bitcoin hit my wallet and happily sending them to others to spread the word. Little did we realize that this would mark the beginning of a paradigm shift in technology and the way people viewed and used virtual currencies.
Since then, I’ve continued to explore and navigate the world of crypto which has expanded into a massive set of blockchains, networks, platforms, and applications. Part of this also led to trading on a variety of exchanges that have sprung up all over the world to satisfy the large demand to buy, sell, and trade these currencies.
This last year has been a landmark one for the space and its become both increasingly lucrative and fraught with risk. While the technology becomes more user friendly by the day, I would have given anything to have someone help me navigate crypto when I first started. Based on that we founded CryptoStache in 2017 with the goal of helping people achieve their goals with an eyes open approach to this ever emerging world.
